Hello people of America, I live in a city in New York called Jamacia. I attend Robert A. Van Wyck MS 217. It's not a very big school. It's from grade 6 through 8. Some people started in the seventh grade but I started in the sixth. There are many, many kids in this school. There are many students from different countries. With many kids and their differnet backgrounds, we learn many things. It's very interesting. It's also fun sharing with each other about our religion and culture. Sometimes we bring food to school and talk about our birth countries. I think New York is the city of many, many backgrounds. Shakib

Hi, I'm Adam. I'm from Marblehead, Massachusetts. Marblehead is right along the ocean, so there are a lot of yacht clubs and people that own boats. We also get a lot of snow compared to some of the other places I've been(like Florida), but the sea breeze always prevents us from getting as much snow as some of the more inland towns. The middle school we have is called Veterans. It was just re-done about four years ago, so we have comparitivly new stuff. I've never been to Queens, but Jamaica, New York sounds pretty nice.
Hey, my name is Kate. I live in Marblehead Mass. Marblehead is an old town so there are a lot of historical places which is pretty cool. Mhead is also right on the water. This is particularly nice in the summer. At the end of the street I live on there is a dock on a small harbor. My friends and i swim there all the time in the summer. I have been to NY a couple of times, but I have never been to Queens or Jamaica. I have always loved NY and Jamaica sounds really fun.
Hey everyone, Jamaica sounds like an interesting place to live. I am from Marblehead. It is a small town North of Boston. We have a huge sailing community because we are located right next to the water. We also have some snow in the winter. Marblehead offers plenty of sports. I play baseball, sail competitively, and ski (but I have to drive up North more to do that though.)
Hey, I'm Ross. Jamaica sounds like a really interesting place. I'm from marblehead, and we are a small town that lives right on the ocean. We get lots of snow, too. We recently renovated our school so we have lots of new equipment. There are lots of interesting places to go and lots of kind people to meet here.
hey! =] I've never been to Jamaica, New York, but I love New York City. Marblehead is a really small town, and nothing exciting really ever happens. I want to live in a city, though. Going to Boston and New York City is always so much fun!! I'm in 8th grade, and I love to act, Irish Step Dance, do art, read, and i love shopping. What do you guys like to do in your spare time?
♥ emilie
Hey, my name is Maggie and I'm from Marblehead. I go to Marblehead Veterans Middle School(MVMS). I like to play sports and listen to music. I have never been to New York, but I have always wanted to. What's your favorite part of New York?
Hello!!!
My name is Kaitlin.
I live in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Marblehead is a very old town. Although it is old, it is an awesome place to live. We are right on the water and we have lots of things to do. Especially in the summer. We have a very historical painting located in Marblehead called The Spirit of 76’. It is from the civil war in 1776. There are a lot of historical places in Marblehead, like Glover School. I went to Glover School from Kindergarten to fourth grade. What is really cool about Glover, is my Dad went there when he was little. (Which isn’t even close to how old it really is.) My grandfather could have gone to school there it's so old! A fun and historical place where a lot of my classmates go is Downtown Marblehead. It takes about five minutes to get there from our school, and there is soooo much to do. Personally, I love shopping. There are a ton of awesome stores for everybody to shop at. My life moves quite fast. I am a hockey player just about 7 days a week. A babysitter on the weekends. A soccer player in the spring and fall. I also really enjoy field hockey, and tennis. In the meantime I am a sister to two and I still manage to keep an almost A average. Amazing right? It is really kind of normal to me because I have been playing on at least two teams for every season since second grade.
Can’t wait to hear what you have to say!!!
Hi I'm Emily S, and I'm from Marblehead, MA. Marblehead is a small coastal town. Our school, Marblehead Veterans Middle School, MVMS for short, only has two grades in it, 7th and 8th. Even though there's only two grades we still have a lot of kids that go here. I have been to New York before, and I've been to Queens a couple of times too.
Hey whats up Im Jake. I live in a town called Marblehead which is just outside of Boston. Ive been to New York many times but ive never been to Queens before it sounds like a great place. I attend MVMS middle school and its great. theres only 2 grades 7th and 8th.
Hello! My name is Abbey B. and I live in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Marblehead is near to Boston and is right by the harbor. It is known for it's boating, although I've only sailed once. Marblehead is very small, but it's nice that it's small because it's easier to walk around town. Right now, I love to play soccer and am playing soccer indoors. What do you enjoy doing in New York? I have never been, but I would absolutely love to visit! Is Jamaica a large city? I can't wait to learn more about New York from you guys!
Hi I;m Mary Lindsay. Jamaica sounds like a really cool place to live because it is so racially diverse. It must be so interesting to live there. It's so cool that there are people living there from about 50 countries. Your school sounds really nice to being so big and everything. I live in Marblehead and its fun-especially in the summer. There's beaches, pools, boats and lots of other cool things. The things you guys like to do are similar to what my friends and i like to do like go to the mall and just hang out.
Hey! I'm Devon W. and I live in the small town of Marblehead, Ma. Our town holds a lot of history and is known as the yachting capitol, due to the passion that most of our residents have with the water. It is very common to go down to one of the docks or beaches, or go out on your's or a friend's boat during the summer. Our town is pretty small, everyone basically knows one another. The school that I attend, Marblehead Veterans Middle School, otherwise known as MVMS, is a 7th and 8th grade school, although I am in the 8th grade. In Marblehead we mostly hang out at someone’s house or downtown or drive a few towns over to the mall. Downtown is where restaurants, coffee shops, stores, boutiques etc. are. Anyways, one side of my family lives in N.Y., but they don't live in Jamaica. I would love to visit someday to compare our life styles from my town to yours. Talk to you soon!
Hey! My name is Toireasa. I live in Marblehead, MA. Marblehead is a small town next to the ocean. We are just north of Boston so when we want to go to the city we can. I think it would be cool to live in a city like Jamaica. Marblehead is a nautical town where almost everyone has a boat and is on it all the time in the summer. It's ironic that even though Marblehead is surrounded by water, I still couldn't get enough and I became a swimmer. Talk to you all later. There are a lot of things to do to have fun, like going into the downtown or hanging out with your friends. Talk to you all later!
Hi, my name is Evan F, I am 14 years old and in 8th grade. Our school is pretty big and it's kind of nice. New York city sounds pretty cool
Hello,
My name is Teah, and I attend the Marblehead Veterans Middle School. I am also in the METCO program. I know alot of people that have read the book, To Kill A Mockingbird, so I hope it is as good as it has been brought up to be. I enjoy my friends company and just chilling out with my friends, so I hope this can be an interesting topic to talk about.
Hello my name is Jordan C. I live in Marblehead and go to the Marblehead Veterans Middle School. Marblehead is a small but very active town. We have good sports down here. There are some awsome restaurants like Drift Wood or Romano's. Marblhead is a great sailing especially for daysailers and viper sailers. There is a lot of room for the smaller boats to ge around. Jamaica seems like a wonderful place to live. I cant wit to get started with "To Kill A Mockingbird"
Hi! Im Sadira P. and I live in Marblehead. My school is a great one. I enjoy reading, shopping, and drawing. I have already read the first three chapters of "To Kill a Mockingbird".It is a very good story so far. I like how it is a first person-told story.
Hi, my name is Tyler P and I am 14 years old. I live in a town called Marblehead. Marblehead is a little town outside of Bostan. In Marblehead there is a lot of things to do. You can go sailing, fishing, and play football. the last one is my favorite.
Hi! I just read chapters 4-7 in "To Kill A Mockingbird". Its thrilling to hear about Jem, Scout and Dill sneaking into the Radleys house. I wonder why random objects kept appearing in the Radleys tree.
It sure is a mystery for me! I'll talk to you later!
Hello again, I just read chapters 1-3 and 4-7. To Kill A Mocking bird flows really well. All of the characters are interesting and have there own unique personality. I also enjoyed reading about Dill, Jem, and Scout sneaking into the Radley's place.
Hello! I read chapters 4-7 again, and I do not think that Dill and Jem are going to make great friends with eachother. Dill seems to like getting under Jems skin, such as the time when Jem lost his pants to Dill in a game of poker. I have to say, that was kind of funny! I can't wait to read what happens next in this amazing story.
Hello Jamaica New York,
My name is Rachel M.from Marblehead Veterans Middle School. I am in the METCO program and think that Marblehead is a nice little town by the sea. The METCO program is a program in which Boston students go to sudurban schools to bond with other towns. It's kind of like Ruby Bridges all over again. My favorite sport is Basketball and I also like Tennis and Football. In my spare time I like to read so I really hope this book keeps me reading. I also like to draw in my spare time especially sketching and if I'm drawing designs.
I've actually been to New york many times, however I haven't been to the Queens but I have family in the Bronx.
Well I am really looking forward to discussing this book with you chao for now!
Hey guys!! I've read chapters 8-9 in 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. I felt bad for Miss Maudie when her house caught on fire, but I was also very shocked that she stayed calm about it! I also hope that Francis and Scout make ands meet after their incident at Christmas. Lets see what happens next! Have a nice Easter!
I just read chapters eleven through fifteen. Even though Mrs. Dubose was a mean character, I was sad when she died. I felt bad for her. It was also mean of Aunt Alexandra to not let Scout go to church. I cant wait to read what happens next.
I read chapters 12-14 in the book. I think it was fun for Scout when she went to Calpurnias church. I think that the reason that Atticus wasn't mad at Dill for running away from home was because he knew his life at home was bad. I'll start reading more soon.
I just finished reading chapters 15-17 in 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. Mr. Gilmer is a solicitor we meet in these chapters. I wonder what a solicitor is? I also think that since all of Mayellas bruises were on the right side of her face, only a left-handed person could be the criminal of the case. The next few chapters of the book should be interesting!
